Chiropractic / Orthotics / Carpal Tunnel Treatment

Your first visit with Dr. Jeff lasts about 40-60 minutes. It includes a complete health history and an examination that may or may not include x-rays. It is followed by an explanation of your problem and whether or not chiropractic can help you. If your problem would benefit from chiropractic care usually a treatment is performed. This may include a manipulation, stretches, home exercises, ice/heat instructions and nutritional supplements and instruction. On your second visit a more complete report of findings is done including a review of your complaint, a breakdown of how long it will take to get better, how often you will need to be treated and how much it will cost.

Naturopathic Medicine

Before the first visit the patient is required to fill in a detailed health history/family history questionnaire (this can be down loaded from the website, mailed or faxed to you). This completed questionnaire is then brought to the first visit.
The first visit is 60-75 minutes in length and during this time a complete health history will be taken, along with a physical exam and any in-office tests that are required. An initial diagnosis will be made based on the history and physical assessment. Further testing may be required and will be discussed during the first visit. Depending on the condition being treated, treatments will be prescribed and a plan will be outlined. After the first visit, the patient will be sent home with a one week diet diary to chart food/drink intake along with charting symptoms and sleep patterns. A urine specimen cup will also be given to bring in a first morning urine sample upon the second visit which is usually 1-3 weeks after the initial consultation. All follow-up appointments are 30 minutes in length. For acute conditions, patients will require 1-4 follow-up appointments, and for chronic conditions, patients are generally required to come in once a month over several months (depending on the severity of the disease).

Kinesiologist/Ergonomics

First, the Kinesiologist will review with you your health history, and determine your goals for improving your health and functional abilities. If you will be participating in an exercise program, you will be required to complete a Par-Q screening tool, to screen for health risks to participating in exercise. You may be asked to meet with your doctor, prior to participating in the exercise program, to ensure you will be safe and not at risk for health issues, or exacerbation of an existing injury.

If you require an ergonomic assessment in your workplace or home, this can be arranged with the Kinesiologist. An ergonomic assessment can help to prevent further aggravation of existing injuries or health conditions.

After you set your goals with the Kinesiologist, you will be provided with a personalized exercise, rehabilitative, or preventative health program that you can complete at home, independently. The Kinesiologist will continue to monitor and make upgrades to the program during your regular visits. All the exercises will be demonstrated and practiced in the clinic and during sessions, to ensure proper technique, safety, and to ensure they are appropriate for your needs. Once your goals for increased physical fitness, functional abilities, work performance, or preventative healthcare are accomplished, our goals are accomplished too!! You will be able to continue the program independently, and will refer all your family and friends to a Kinesiologist to help them live longer, healthier lifestyles also.

Massage Therapy

During your first visit to our clinic, you'll be greeted by our staff and given some forms which include a health history, and informed consent. When the forms are filled out, you'll get a tour of our facility/clinic. In the massage therapy office, Kyle will go over your health history with you, discussing any pertinent information relating to your visit. The treatment will be discussed to determine if there are any areas that will require specific attention. It will be explained that if at any time you feel uncomfortable, whether there's too much pressure, or not enough being used, or anything at all, you always have the right to alter or terminate the treatment at any time.

Shiastu Therapy & Acupuncture

At the initial consultation, following acceptance of the standard consent to treatment agreement, an intake form is completed for each client to assess his/her current condition and determine the appropriate treatment. The root of a problem may differ from the manifestation point which is why Shiatsu involves the whole body, and treatment specifics are tailored to the needs of the individual.

Session length is generally one hour, and the patient typically leaves feeling refreshed, relaxed and invigorated.
